Psion Series 5

The Psion Series 5 is a wonderful piece of kit. It provides a stable operating system in EPOC32, a very usable keyboard, useful application and all in a small form factor.

Good Points

Bad Points

In conjunction with my Ericsson SH888 mobile phone the Psion provides a very usable portable email solution.

My Psion lives inside a Rhinoskin case. This provides ample space to contain my Psion S5, spare batteries, a spare stylus, serial cable, and a null modem adapter to connect to any external modem. Due to it's size, the Psion tends to live in my briefcase rather than be carried at all times, hence the need for a smaller device.

The original 8MB storage has been supplimented by a Simple Technology 32MB CF card. The 8MB gets a little restrictive especially once you install the email application and web browser.

I finally sold my Psion in April 2000 due to lack of use.
